Mount Pleasant is a neighbourhood in the city of Vancouver, British Columbia, stretching from Cambie Street to Clark Drive and from Great Northern Way and 2nd, to 16th and Kingsway.

Mount Pleasant is one of Vancouver’s hottest neighbourhoods. It’s less expensive than Yaletown or Kitsilano. It provides quick access to downtown via the Canada Line and the Skytrain.

Mount Pleasant is named after the Irish birthplace of the wife of H.V. Edmonds. Edmonds, clerk of the municipal council in New Westminster, was the original owner of much of Mount Pleasant.

The neighbourhood is diverse. Mount Pleasant includes residents of different ages, ethnic groups and incomes. You will find a wide variety of restaurants, coffee shops, book shops, and any type of store that you are looking for.

If you live in Mount Pleasant, most of your dining and nightlife will be spent on Main Street, the commercial center of the neighbourhood.Ā Main Street is packed with unique cafes, restaurants, bars, and pubs.

There are nine parks scattered throughout Mount Pleasant, making it easy to find a spot to play with the kids, or take the dog for a walk ! China Creek North Park has a popular jogging trail and beautiful views of the North Shore Mountains.
